Remote work in civil service – Sharing Lithuania's experience with the CSB Management

In response to the new reality and evolving needs brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Lithuanian experts share their experiences and knowledge with the colleagues in Civil Service Bureau on the specifics of remote work in civil service and effective application of online tools and techniques.

Continuing the EU-funded Twinning project, CSB and Lithuanian counterparts organized online presentations and virtual discussions to learn about the framework of remote work and best practices in Lithuania as well as exchange ideas and expertise on various aspect of remote work including benefits and challenges, legal regulations, technical solutions, principles of remote work in civil service, IT tools, information security procedures, organization of remote work including tips and tricks, and how to help yourself working in changed conditions.

This will help CSB in building solid knowledge and understanding of the best EU practices in remote work in civil service as a beneficial tool and opportunity for institutions to mobilize more forces, plan time, focus on the result and make optimal use of available resources in ordinary as well as extraordinary situations.

Furthermore, a dedicated guidelines elaborated by the Lithuanian experts detailing different aspects of remote work and presenting best Lithuanian, EU and global practices and will be shared with CSB.
