Panel meeting on Public Administration Reform under the auspices of “Eastern Partnership” countries

The second panel meeting on “Public Administration Reform” was held on 14th of June, in Tbilisi, under the auspices of “Eastern Partnership”, Platform I "Democracy, Good Governance and Stability". The panel was jointly organised by the Civil Service Bureau of Georgia and the Office of the State Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. The meeting was opened by Irakli Kotetishvili, Head of the Civil Service Bureau and Tamar Beruchashvili, Chief Advisor to the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

The panel meeting was attended by the state representatives of the Eastern Partnership countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, and the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia, as well as international experts from Finland.

State representatives from Georgia and Finland shared their experiences in e-Governance and Strategic Planning issues with the purpose of improving administrative structures. Within the meeting, the issue of implemented and current reforms of civil administrative organs in Eastern Partnership countries was discussed.

The “Eastern Partnership” represents a collective effort of the EU member countries and the Eastern neighbours of the EU (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia and Ukraine). The “Eastern Partnership” creates additional opportunities for Georgia’s further integration into the EU and towards the enhancement of the political dialogue between the countries.
