On September 11-12, the Director of the Civil Service Bureau of Georgia, Dr. Catherine Kardava participated in an international conference, entitled “Enhancing the Efficiency of Civil Service Through Capacity Development of Civil Servants”.
Under the initiative of the Civil Service Bureau, a three-day training for the development of capacity building and sustainability of public position descriptions was held on September 8-10. The training was conducted by the non-governmental organization (NGO) "Smart Consulting".
Under the initiative of the Prime Minister the Civil Service internship program has been started. In this program, 4th year undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, as well as matriculated graduates with high academic achievement, will be given the opportunity to apply for internships in public institutions.
The Institute of Administrative Sciences of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, together with the Civil Service Bureau of Georgia, held a training in Tbilisi and Batumi for state agencies called the "Institute of Whistleblower – legal regulation and practice in public service" in early August.
